Kitchen Flooring
With kitchen remodeling, floors enhance the warm ambiance of the room. Apart from being aesthetically pleasing to the eye, kitchen flooring material must be durable, stain resistance, skid resistance and comfortable under feet. According to Sara Ann Busby, Vice President of the National Kitchen and Bath Association: "Most of the activity in the kitchen is done while standing. So I would look for something that's easy on your legs".

Since the kitchen is the busiest spot in the house, kitchen floors must wear well and be easy to maintain under heavy floor traffic. Resilient flooring produced from vinyl, laminate, linoleum and cork, is one of the most practical of all kitchens flooring. Comfortable under feet, skid resistant and quiet, resilient flooring is not only inexpensive, but comes in a wide array of colors and patterns to fit your unique kitchen remodeling design.
Apart from resilient Kitchen floors, wood and ceramic tile flooring can be customized in terms of color and pattern to fit a variety of kitchen styles. Warm and quiet underfoot, wood floor is a popular remodeling choice. For extreme durability and low maintenance, laminate is another kitchen flooring option. As ceramic tile kitchen flooring is easy to clean but the surrounding grout can be difficult to maintain, Busby recommends using the largest tile possible to minimize grout lines. However, unlike wood and resilient flooring material, ceramic tile can be hard on the legs and is noisy under feet.
